I have, for seven or more years, met with a group of M.D.s, D.O.s, nurses, compounding pharmacists, and chiropractors. While the medical side can discuss the judicious use of medications, our primary discussions revolve around the use of nutrition, diet, exercise, sleep, water, hormones, lifestyle choices, clinical experiences and classroom instruction for improving the health of our patients.
Several years ago we were studying the uses of Alpha-Lipoic-Acid and its functions in the body. It was my assignment to write and get information from Dr. Bert Berkson. This man was considered the nation’s foremost authority on Alpha-Lipoic-Acid. I communicated several times with him. I recently found these four YouTube videos where he discusses the use of Alpha-Lipoic-Acid and Low Dose Naltrexone. There are many others associated with these same videos on YouTube. As a chiropractor I am not able to prescribe the drugs but I strongly support the use of Alpha-Lipoic-Acid in many auto-immune health problems, especially diabetes.
